Synthetic populations that behave like real people
Four open-source projects, one coherent stack: a psychographic framework, a simulation engine, a public falsifiable forecast, and the infrastructure that makes the whole thing economical at scale. Each piece is independently usable. Together they close the loop.
Eight-dimension psychographic framework with two new digital-age dimensions (Acuity, Impulsivity). Six map cleanly to Big Five and HEXACO. Published as an open specification.
Self-hosted synthetic consumer panels. 1,000 personas in 30 seconds, fully local on a single GPU. Each persona has a DYNAMICS-8 score, life history, and census-weighted demographics across 20 countries.
Pre-registered, hash-verified UK election predictions. SHA-256 committed to GitHub before voting opened. 136 councils, 65,000 personas. The first public test of the synthetic-panel methodology.
OpenAI-compatible LLM proxy in Go. Cost-routes across local + cloud, compresses prompts with pgvector RAG, and wraps the actual claude CLI as an OpenAI endpoint. The infrastructure that makes 65,000 simulated personas economical.
Open datasets, the Zenodo preprint, the persona explorer demo, and the cognitive-simulation architecture. 1,000 sample personas (UK + US), 20-country census-weighted generation methodology, FAISS-backed explorer.
Milestones
BBC PNS spot: lowest mean absolute error in the field
On the BBC's official Projected National Share for the 7 May 2026 English local elections, KPM-1 had the lowest mean absolute error of any model in the field. Pre-registered with a SHA-256 hash before voting opened.
KPM-1 predictions hash-committed
Pre-registered predictions for 136 UK local councils committed to GitHub on 1 May 2026, before voting opened. SHA-256 hash public for falsifiability.
Zenodo preprint published
DYNAMICS-8 framework paper. DOI 10.5281/zenodo.19361059. 12,654 words, 10/10 validation hypotheses confirmed at Bonferroni-corrected significance.
Company incorporated, four UK patents filed
Kronaxis Limited (15072850), registered in England and Wales. Four UK patent applications filed at UKIPO covering autonomous GUI interaction, security evaluation, consumer behaviour simulation, and device environment simulation. 91 claims total.
20-country persona generation
Dedicated country builders for 20 countries across six cultural regions. Local-language occupation titles, education terms, regional ethnic compositions, and culturally grounded life histories. 10,000+ generated census-weighted skeletons.
DYNAMICS-8 specification + Panel Studio released
Formal specification under CC BY 4.0; Panel Studio source-available under BSL 1.1 with 500 seed personas and a local response engine.
