20-country persona generation

Every persona's demographics are grounded in real census and national-statistics data, not random distributions. Dedicated country builders produce culturally grounded personas with local-language occupation titles, education terminology, regional ethnic compositions, and financial profiles appropriate to each country. Over 10,000 generated census-weighted skeletons across all supported countries.

Each country builder encodes local demographic structures: regional population weights, ethnic and religious composition, education-system terminology (e.g. Abitur, Baccalauréat, Bakalorius), occupation titles in the local language, and culturally appropriate naming conventions. An 18-rule validation engine checks internal consistency and dataset diversity for every generated persona.

UK constituency-level detail

The UK builder provides the deepest coverage. Demographics for 575 English and Welsh constituencies are drawn from Census 2021 data at constituency level. Scotland and Northern Ireland (75 constituencies) use regional averages. Each persona's demographic attributes are sampled to match real constituency-level distributions for ethnicity, qualifications, age, and deprivation. (UK validation spot-checks: see KPM-1.)

Personas that live

Each persona in Panel Studio is not a static profile. It is a cognitive simulation: personas live coherent lives that evolve over time, grounded in the cultural context of their country. The local response engine implements this architecture out of the box; the enterprise edition adds coordinated persona operations and advanced life simulation.

Behaviour driven by personality

The DYNAMICS-8 vector causally determines every decision: financial spending, political engagement, relationship investment, career choices, and daily routines. Not labels. Causal drivers, grounded in published criterion-validity literature.

Three-tier memory

Episodic memory stores dated events with emotional valence. Semantic memory stores beliefs with confidence and source. Procedural memory stores trigger-action patterns. The memory system accumulates over time with periodic reflection and compression.

Lifecycle event cascades

Job changes, relationships, bereavements, and relocations cascade through the persona's entire state: personality shifts, finances change, new memories form, and plans regenerate. Real people do not stand still, and neither do these personas.

Behavioural drift

Personality evolves through a bounded random walk. Life experiences cause directional shifts. Drift magnitude is bounded by Mercuriality: emotionally volatile personas change more than stable ones. Questionnaire responses shift accordingly.

Causal reasoning traces

Every response includes a structured trace: which DYNAMICS dimensions were active, which memories influenced the decision, the emotional state, and the financial context. Not retrospective explanations — the causal attribution structure that drove generation.

Hierarchical planning

Temporal plans at four timescales: yearly strategy, monthly goals, daily routines, hourly activities. Each level decomposes into the next, all consistent with personality, emotional state, and recent memory.
